Inside South Cathedral, built in 1904 (earlier churches on this site date back to the mid-17th century)
Here’s how it works:
1. Each week, we’ll provide a theme for creative inspiration. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog anytime before the following Friday when the next photo theme will be announced.
2. To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “Weekly Photo Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use a “postaday2012″ or “postaweek2012″ tag.
3. Subscribe to The Daily Post so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements. Sign up via the email subscription link in the sidebar or RSS.

Love your cathedral in Beijing. I didn’t know there were cathedrals there. And thanks too for the pingback! 🙂
There’s at least three Catholic churches in Beijing now. Several have been built on this site but fire or earthquakes destroyed them. This one was built in the early 1900s. There’s another on Wangfujing Street.

Very beautiful display of faith. Was one gentleman there texting to God? Thank you for sharing.
I like to think he was texting God. Then I don’t have to feel like a Pharisee mumbling complaints to myself, “Will you look at that, slave to technology, can’t turn off a phone . . . “
